History of HKMJ
HKMJ is a continuation of the former Bulletin of The Hong Kong Chinese Medical Association (1948 – 1969), Bulletin of The Hong Kong Medical Association (1970 – 1984), and Journal of the Hong Kong Medical Association (1985 – 1994).
The inaugural issue of HKMJ was published in 1995.
The Hong Kong Medical Journal (HKMJ) is a bimonthly joint publication of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (HKAM) and the Hong Kong Medical Association (HKMA).
HKMJ is a Hong Kong-based, peer-reviewed, general medical journal which is circulated to 7000 readers, including all Fellows of the HKAM and members of the HKMA. HKMJ publishes original research papers, review articles, medical practice papers, case reports, pictorial medicine papers, editorials, commentaries, and letters to the Editor. Topics of interest include all subjects that relate to clinical practice and research in all branches of medicine. HKMJ welcomes manuscripts from authors, but usually solicits reviews. Proposals for review papers can be sent to the Managing Editor directly.
