The HKAMedTrack is a web-based manuscript management system developed by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. It was set up and is maintained by the IT staff at the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine with the information provided by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Press.
There are two phases to this System. In this first phase, authors are able to submit a manuscript electronically, and to check for updates on its status. In the second phase, the peer review process will be conducted online. Authors will be notified when the second phase is available.
HKAMedTrack has been designed primarily for use by all parties who are interested in submitting manuscripts to the Hong Kong Medical Journal and others. There are no submission charges for using this system.
What do I need to access HKAMedTrack?
HKAMedTrack is a free program open to anyone, anywhere. To access it, you will need an internet connection and an email address and of course, the manuscript files that you would like to submit. The email address is used by HKAMedTrack to confirm your registration and email you passwords, should you forget yours.
Using this system, authors can upload manuscript files (text, tables and figures, supplementary information, and video) directly to the desired journal and check on the status of their manuscripts during the review process.
Why do I need to register and login?
We only ask you for your name and email so we can make the program run properly. These details are never shared with anyone or any organisation for any other purpose. Registration gives you an individual identity in HKAMedTrack and allows you to save your progress in the submission. It also provides us with the information required to contact you in case of any queries.
How do I register and login?
For first-time user, please click on the “REGISTER” button and enter the requested information. Upon successful registration, you will receive an e-mail with instructions to verify your registration. (NOTE: If you have received an e-mail from us with an assigned user ID and password, DO NOT REGISTER AGAIN, just use this information to log in. Username and password may be changed after registration).
For registered user, please click the “LOGIN” button and proceed as appropriate.
Once registered, you may change your information, username and/or password at any time. Simply log in to the system and click “Update My Profile" in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
